Location

The Tauro area is located on the island of Gran Canaria in Spain. Tauro is a seaside town located between Puerto Rico and Playa del Cura. This area is famous for its beautiful beach, which offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The beach in Tauro is sandy and has a gradual entrance to the sea, making it ideal for families with children.

My family and I chose the Tauro area because of its location. The sun shines here all year round and temperatures are between 22 - 27°C in the shade even in the winter months, and 30°C or more in the summer. So you can enjoy the sunny weather all year round. It only rains about 5 times a year.

Tauro on Gran Canaria offers beautiful beaches such as Amadores Beach and Tauro Beach, which are within walking distance of Villa Hugo. The location is quiet and suitable for relaxation. You can discover other beaches and golf courses in the area. There are various restaurants serving local and international food.

Tauro is also a starting point for various local activities such as kayaking, snorkelling or jet skiing. Tauro is also close to several nature reserves where you can discover the beauty of the Canarian nature.

Overall, the Tauro area is an ideal holiday destination where you can relax on the beach, play on several golf courses, go cycling or motorbiking, surfing, paddleboarding or kiteboarding, hiking and exploring the surrounding nature.

Another nearby attraction is the Anfi del Mar artificial beach complex, which offers a beautiful white beach with restaurants around its perimeter.

Here you will find jet ski rentals, water chair rides and other water attractions.

Anfi del Mar is about 8 minutes away by car and there is paid parking.

Another advantage for us is the distance to our favorite places we recommend to visit, it is only 10-15 minutes by car.

The Tauro area is also famous for its golf course, which is one of the best in Gran Canaria. The Tauro Golf Course offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and is popular with golf enthusiasts.
